Break The Cycle!

Listen, Did you know that jealousy and envy plays a key role in generational trauma? I have noticed a sneaky pattern in my own family. Yes, check your bloodline. The spirit of competition and comparison was heavy with the men in our family. Sounds familiar? Many people didn't know if my brother and I would survive living in and out of shelters, or being in the foster care system.​

We were considered the black sheep. But when things turned out for the good, our relatives couldn't genuinely embrace who we have become. This is something that they still can't understand to this day. You see, there some people who want to see you do good, but there are some folks that don't want to see you doing better than them. There's a huge difference.​

I decided to share this brief story to let someone know that you are the generational cycle breaker in your family. If allow envy and jealousy to linger over your life, you will forfeit the opportunity of having the genuine relationships that are designed to help you grow into the person that you are destine to be.
